Tour Details and Itinerary
Set off on a full-day snorkeling trip from Port Ghalib Marina, one of the best starting points for exploring the vibrant coral reefs of the Red Sea. This guided boat tour takes you to two of the region’s top snorkeling sites, offering a mix of colorful marine life, calm waters, and scenic cruising.
The day begins with pickup from your hotel in Marsa Alam, followed by a short drive to the marina. There, you’ll board a well-equipped snorkeling boat and meet your crew and guide. After a safety briefing, the boat sets off into the open sea toward your first destination.
Your first stop is Marsa El Shouna, a sheltered bay known for its rich coral gardens and wide variety of reef fish. The calm conditions make it an excellent site for both beginners and experienced snorkelers. You’ll spend around 45 minutes in the water, with guides nearby to assist and point out interesting species.
After a short cruise, the second snorkeling session takes place at Marsa Mubarak, one of the most well-known sites in the southern Red Sea. This area is home to large green sea turtles and, with some luck, you might even spot a dugong, also known as a sea cow. The reef here offers excellent visibility, soft coral formations, and the chance to see larger marine species along with schools of colorful fish.
Between snorkeling stops, enjoy a freshly prepared lunch on board, served with soft drinks and time to relax on the deck.
In the afternoon, the boat returns to Port Ghalib Marina, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel. Arrival is expected around 4:00 PM, with the rest of the day free to relax after a rewarding marine experience.
This trip is ideal for those staying in the Marsa Alam area who want to discover the beauty of the Red Sea’s underwater world in a relaxed, well-paced setting.
