Spend a full day exploring the waters of Shaʿab Samadai, also known as Dolphin House, a protected reef just southeast of Marsa Alam known for its regular visits from wild spinner dolphins. This guided snorkeling trip offers a rare opportunity to observe these marine mammals in their natural habitat—without disturbing them.
The tour begins with a hotel pickup in Marsa Alam, followed by a short drive to the marina. After meeting the crew and receiving a safety briefing, you’ll board a well-equipped speedboat and set off across the Red Sea. The ride to Dolphin House offers scenic coastal views and a chance to relax before the day’s marine encounters begin.
On arrival at the site, your guide will explain the structure of the reef and how the visit is organized according to local marine protection rules. The area is divided into zones to protect the dolphins’ natural behavior. Boats remain in the outer area, while guests enter the water in the designated snorkeling zone, where interactions happen calmly and from a respectful distance.
You’ll enjoy two snorkeling sessions, each lasting around 45 minutes. The waters around Dolphin House are home to coral gardens, reef fish, and—if you’re lucky—pods of spinner dolphins that sometimes swim close out of curiosity. While dolphin sightings cannot be guaranteed, the reef itself offers an impressive snorkeling experience with good visibility and diverse marine life.
Between snorkeling stops, relax on board with refreshments and a freshly prepared buffet-style lunch. Meals typically include grilled chicken or fish, rice, salads, and bread, along with soft drinks and light snacks throughout the cruise.
After your time at Dolphin House, the tour continues to a second snorkeling stop—either Shaʿab Marsa Alam or another nearby reef—chosen based on sea conditions. This additional site offers a chance to explore more coral landscapes and tropical fish in quiet, open water.
The boat returns to the marina in the early afternoon, and you’ll be transferred back to your hotel by around 3:00 to 4:00 PM. This tour is ideal for nature lovers, families, or anyone looking for a safe and respectful way to encounter dolphins in the wild while enjoying the beauty of the Red Sea.
