Tour Description & Itinerary:
Get ready for a well-paced Cairo adventure that blends iconic sights with authentic local experiences—without pulling you away from your Marsa Alam relaxation for too long.
Day 1:
We’ll collect you from your Marsa Alam hotel around 3:00 AM and take you to Hurghada Airport for an early flight to Cairo. By breakfast time, you’ll be met by your Egyptologist guide and whisked to the Giza Plateau. Stand in awe before the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, and snap that classic shot with the Sphinx guarding the site. A stroll through the Valley Temple reveals ancient mummification secrets. After a hearty lunch with pyramid views, enjoy an optional felucca ride on the Nile for a serene float under the sky. In the afternoon, wander the bustling lanes of Khan el‑Khalili bazaar or explore the medieval architecture on Al Muizz Street in Islamic Cairo. In the evening, check into your Cairo hotel for a relaxed dinner and a good night’s rest.
Day 2:
After breakfast, dive into Cairo’s rich museum culture. You’ll visit the Egyptian Museum—home to hundreds of thousands of artifacts, including Tutankhamun’s iconic mask. Then head to the Salah El‑Din Citadel and admire the soaring Alabaster (Muhammad Ali) Mosque, with striking views over the city. If time allows, you can explore Coptic Cairo, visiting historic churches in Karmet Mariam and Old Cairo, before heading back to Cairo Airport in time for an evening flight to Hurghada. You’ll arrive back in Marsa Alam by around 10:00 PM—just in time to unwind and reflect on two full days of epic exploration .
