Tour Description & Itinerary:
Get ready for an epic 3‑day adventure rolling from Marsa Alam into Egypt’s legendary archaeological heartland. We kick things off early—around 4:00 AM—when our air‑conditioned ride scoops you up at your Marsa Alam hotel. Day 1 is all about Luxor, the world’s largest open‑air museum.
Day 1: Luxor Highlights
Around mid‑morning, we arrive and meet your Egyptologist guide for a deep dive into ancient splendors. We begin at the awe‑inspiring Karnak Temple Complex—home to towering columns, pharaoh statues, and the epic Great Hypostyle Hall. Then we cross the Nile to visit Luxor Temple, complete with its famous Avenue of Sphinxes. A tasty lunch at a local spot fuels you up, after which we cross to the West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings—home to Tutankhamun’s tomb and other pharaohs’ burial chambers. We stop by Queen Hatshepsut’s stunning cliff‑carved mortuary temple at Deir el‑Bahari, and finish the day admiring the Colossi of Memnon.
By evening, we head to your comfy 4‑star hotel in Aswan for dinner and a good night’s sleep.
Day 2: Aswan Classics
After breakfast, we start with the impressive Aswan High Dam—a modern marvel reshaping the Nile. Then hop on a motorboat to majestic Philae Temple on Agilkia Island, dedicated to Isis. Afterward, we admire the massive Unfinished Obelisk at the nearby quarry, giving a peek into stone‑carving methods of millennia ago. You’ll enjoy lunch by the river and a relaxing felucca ride around Elephantine Island and the botanical gardens. Later, you check into your Aswan hotel for the night.
Day 3: Abu Simbel & Return
Rise early—about 4:00 AM—for the desert drive south to Abu Simbel. You’ll explore the twin temples of Ramses II and Nefertari carved into the mountainside—an unforgettable UNESCO feat relocated to save them from flooding. After soaking in their grandeur, we head back to Aswan for lunch, then make the scenic drive through changing desert and Nile‑valley landscapes back to Marsa Alam. You’ll arrive in the evening with three incredible days of history under your belt.
Over three days, you’ll experience a perfectly balanced mix: Luxor’s tombs, temples and statues; Aswan’s engineering, islands and serene river energy; and grand, jaw‑dropping Abu Simbel at sunrise. Each evening, you’ll rest comfortably at quality hotels in Aswan and Luxor.
